Yelp, the go-to digital platform for locating the finest eateries, retail outlets, and entertainment venues, recently unveiled its inaugural list of the most enticing new restaurants in the US this year. The aim, as per Yelp, was presenting foodies with the "latest culinary hotspots in your locale or while traveling," and "recognition of the culinary world's fresh and upcoming talents".

Ranging from a gourmet, Michelin-star restaurant nestled in Los Angeles to a Korean BBQ joint that's stirring up interest in Charleston, South Carolina, Yelp patrons have critiqued and rated 25 'must-experience' fresh entries across the nation. In an interesting revelation, Florida dominates the list with five establishments, followed by California with four and Las Vegas with a couple. Notably, New Orleans, known for its vibrant food scene, did not feature on the list.

The method Yelp employed to draft this list involved identifying full-service restaurants that commenced business after January 1, 2022, and subsequently ranking them by evaluating several factors. These factors included the review quantity and rating between January and August 2023. Yelp's trend specialist, Tara Lewis, was roped in to identify the joints earning rave reviews from the Yelp community.
