A gust of fall is hitting Starbucks earlier than expected this year with the beloved 21-year old Pumpkin Spice Latte and an autumnally inspired lineup of sweet treats launching nationwide tomorrow, as per a Starbucks press statement.

For the caffeine enthusiasts unfamiliar with the Pumpkin Spice Latte frenzy, it's time to catch up. This flavor has not only blazed trails but has repeatedly driven the creation of countless pumpkin-themed drinks each year. This year is no exception; the chain is rolling out one of its largest seasonal menus ever. Notably, two newcomers to the menu, the Iced Caramel Apple Cream Latte and the Iced Honey Apple Almond Milk Flat White, are only available via the app. They join the returning Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato.

The popular Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, introduced two years ago, is also making a comeback. This beverage is topped with a spice-infused cool froth, prepared using vanilla syrup and further adorned with pie spices. Over the years, this rich and creamy foam has turned into an integral component in other innovative drinks – such as last year's Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai.

Coming onto the menu for the first time is the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai, a creamy, honey-drizzled apple and cinnamon-flavored tea. Alongside this, the Racoon Cake Pop, a vanilla buttercream delicacy, makes its debut.

Among the other treats available for snacking are the seasonal Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, Pumpkin and Pepita Loaf, and the Baked Apple Croissant – a popular treat that quickly sold out last year.

A spokesperson from Starbucks suggests that the annual return of the PSL equates to the onset of fall for certain ardent coffee aficionados. Each year, comfort and nostalgia occupy the foreground, with a generous splash of innovation thrown into their menu planning process. In recent years, there's been a focus on adding a cool twist to their traditional autumn offerings, as witnessed with the launch of the new Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai and other cold beverages.

The rumor mill has been quite active regarding this early arrival of Starbucks' fall lineup. On social media, @Markie_Devo leaked a roster closely resembling the official menu. Coming earlier than last year's August 24 launch, which was then the earliest, the arrival of this year's fall menu sets a new record. The launch schedules can shift slightly each year, according to Starbucks.

Starbucks initially launched the PSL in 2003, since then, it has triggered a wave of pumpkin spice themed innovations across the food and beverage sector – from donuts to surprisingly scented trash bags!

As a cherry on top, Starbucks will be introducing a new collection of season-appropriate merchandise, consisting of a metallic orange tumbler and an olive-green Starbucks x Stanley Quencher cup for those iced PSL late summer fans.
