This newly minted Pizza Hut specialty is designed to mimic the appearance and texture of the renowned delicacy, sans the fishy aspect. The inventive topping consists of tiny peppery balls or, as the brand describes, Pizza Caviar with a "pepperoni-smoky flavor." These novel roundels are a culinary creation made from agar agar, a plant-based thickener derived from red seaweed combined with water flavored like pepperoni.

Though topping pizza with real caviar might seem like a clear-cut choice, Pizza Hut deliberated upon this idea: "Why just top your pizza with some caviar when you can revolutionize the idea completely and spearhead a unique food category?"

Jumping the bandwagon of emerging "caviar bumps" trend, where food lovers devour a morsel of caviar from the back of their hand, Pizza Hut designed their caviar-like balls, intending them not just for pizza or chips topping but also for "dipping, dunking, and bumping."

Commenting on the cutting-edge launch, Pizza Hut CMO, Melissa Friebe, said, "As a brand that always seeks to redefine pizza culture, we sought the chance to harness one of the present-day biggest food crazes and make it our signature dish." She added that Pizza Caviar is a way of incorporating a hint of elegance while retaining the flavors people savor from Pizza Hut.

Grab a taste of the pepperoni-flavored exquisites by ordering the new Pizza Caviar Bump Box, which throws in a cheese Personal Pan Pizza, three plain boneless wings or fries, and all items get a lavish sprinkle of Pizza Caviar spheres.
