McDonald's Teases Return of Beloved Snack Wrap

Since McDonald's introduced a humble tortilla-wrapped chicken tender called the Snack Wrap in 2006, it quickly found its way into the hearts (and stomachs) of American customers. Even after its regrettable removal from the menu in 2016, the Snack Wrap remained one of the most fondly remembered offerings from the fast-food chain.
After years of customer calls for the Snack Wrap's return, McDonald's seems poised, finally, to satiate their desires. The fast-food giant has begun hinting at the much-anticipated return via intriguing social media posts that have their followers in an uproar.
An Instagram post on December 5th simply read, "snack wraps xx.xx.2025," with a coy caption alongside. Within the first two hours of going live, the post racked up nearly 33,000 likes and over 1,400 comments full of hope and skepticism alike.
Skepticism is certainly warranted, as fans deflated anticipation for the wrap's return has been a recurring motif. Viral TikTok videos in 2022 hinted at the Snack Wrap's American return; however, these merely proved to be hoax videos showcasing special orders at certain locations.
Despite the Snack Wrap being consistently available outside of the U.S., this fan-favorite entree has been absent from American locations, causing significant heartache amongst fans. In 2023, responding to the overwhelming fan demand, McDonald's ambiguously stated it might consider bringing Snack Wraps back.
In the summer of 2024, McDonald's tested Crispy Chicken Tenders in select areas, indicating that all core components for the Snack Wrap were available, yet no sign of the wrap's return was forthcoming. Finally, it seems 2025 might be the year the waiting ends for Snack Wrap enthusiasts.
The Snack Wrap's simplicity is its beauty - a crispy chicken tender with lettuce and cheese, and a choice of sauce, bundled into a tortilla. Its affordability and its versatility as an addition to other meals made it a hit. As McDonald's chicken offerings start to surpass beef in sales, the time seems ripe for the re-launch of this beloved item, bringing joy to fans and a boost to the fast-food chain's reputation.
