As the 2024 Paris Olympics draws near, boasting a grandiose Opening Ceremony that includes 10,500 athletes parading almost four miles on the dazzling River Seine, Krispy Kreme is preparing a unique celebration of its own. The esteemed North Carolina-based doughnut chain is ready to transport your taste buds to the romantic city of lights through their enticing 'Passport to Paris' doughnut collection.

Monday saw Krispy Kreme unveil the tempting trio of doughnuts, delicately devised with inspiration drawn from the desserts adored by Parisians. The limited-edition doughnuts are bound to captivate sweet tooth enthusiasts.

The collection celebrates a Créme Brûlée Doughnut, filled generously with creamy créme brûlée and dressed in sweet caramel icing with a sprinkle of crunchy caramelized sugar. The Double Chocolate Eclair Doughnut is a chocolate lover's paradise, pumped with smooth chocolate custard cream, drenched in a thick layer of chocolate icing and adorned with a strip of crispy chocolate pearls. Finally, the Raspberry and Vanilla Créme Doughnut is an inviting blend of fruity and creamy flavors, coated in luscious raspberry icing and scattered with cookie crumbles, topped off with a splash of creamy vanilla.

Alongside the collection, Krispy Kreme is debuting a Créme Brûlée Latte catering to all coffee lovers. The enticing beverage, topped with light whipped cream and caramelized sugar crunch, can be enjoyed hot, iced or even frozen.

The idea behind the pastries isn't just about pleasing our palates. Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s global chief brand officer, said in a statement, “Most people can't participate in Paris to show solidarity to their nation's squad, so we're delivering a 'Passport to Paris' packed with delicious Parisian dessert-flavored doughnuts.”

Doughnut enthusiasts can buy the new collection at Krispy Kreme stores or order for pickup or delivery from Krispy Kreme app or Krispy Kreme website. Packs of six are also available at selected supermarkets and retailers.

The doughnut brand made its Parisian debut in December with a doughnut store and was welcomed warmly by the locals. Despite being undiscovered compared to croissants and pain au chocolat, doughnuts have found audience in the French population, particularly among the “Generation Netflix”, according to Krispy Kreme France’s director general, Alexandre Maizoué.

As of now, Krispy Kreme is operating six outlets in France with plans to further expand its presence this year. Whether you're in it for the doughnuts or to celebrate the upcoming Olympics, it's an exciting time for any team USA supporter.
