When it comes to luxury dining experiences in New York City, One World Observatory takes the cake. Renowned already for its panoramic spectacle of the city from the 102nd floor of One World Trade Center since 2015, it's just introduced a dining experience costing a cool $3000, that lets you feast your eyes 1,250 feet above ground.

Previously, this 9,000-square foot venue, fondly called Aspire, served as an event space giving a breathtaking perspective of popular landmarks. Wedding ceremonies, corporate events, and bar and bat mitzvahs have graced this space, but now it's open for a private dinner for two.

"It's really about allowing everyone to enjoy the benefits of an evening at the summit of the world," explains Amber King, One World Observatory’s Senior Director of Special Events. Keep in mind, the $3,000 fee isn't merely about the food. It provides you and your dinner partner exclusive access to the venue, which gives you the grandest views of iconic locations like Midtown, Downtown Manhattan, The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Liberty Island, Governor’s Island, New Jersey, Staten Island, and Brooklyn.

In addition to giving you a private escort and waitstaff for the evening, your meal is custom designed by Chef Reuel Vincent and is accompanied by a bottle of Dom Pérignon. All this is perfectly set in an atmosphere adorned with red rose petals and collectively lit pillar candles. This atmospheric dinner isn't aimed as a casual dinner plan, it’s tailor-made to cater for those special, often romantic moments and milestones-think engagements, anniversaries, and proposals.

On being allotted the chance to experience this magic for myself, I found the hype justified. The panoramic views, the tantalizing cuisine, and the luxurious setting-everything was as gloriously promised.

"My New American cuisine is greatly influenced by my Caribbean ancestry and by New York's inherent ethnic diversity," says Chef Reuel Vincent who heads One Dine, the observatory’s restaurant. The exquisite dishes we were served, perfectly encapsulated the vibrant flavors that are a trademark of New York’s culinary landscape.

Additions and upgrades to your evening's plans-like additional guests, upgraded bar services, personal photographers, live music, and more-are available for an added fee. If you're ready to splurge on the most glamourous and sought-after dinner in town, the bookings are open. Post Labor Day, however, the bookings will need to be made at a one-month notice.
