Chick-fil-A, a food chain renowned for its scrumptious chicken offerings, is spreading its wings with an unexpected foray into the world of streaming entertainment. Speculations emerged lately that the company is cooking up an array of original programming set to premiere later in the year.

Deadline, the media outlet that first relayed this surprising news, maintains that the fast-food behemoth is partnering with various studios to churn out content with a 'family-friendly' vibe. They're also supposedly committed to crafting unscripted reality shows and actively pursuing opportunities to license and acquire new original content.

As per the Deadline claim, Chick-fil-A's future programming roster could potentially come equipped with a game show from the reputable production companies, Glassman Media and Sugar23. The streaming service might also usher in original scripted shows and animated series. They, however, remain tight-lipped about the name of the streaming service and the platform it will be accessible on.

When Food & Wine contacted a spokesperson from Chick-fil-A for confirmation, they received a non-committal response that they have "nothing to share" at present. Although this move comes off as surprising, critics are highlighting the brand's long-standing relationship with content creation. The Chick-fil-A brand, owned by the Cathy family, stands associated with Trilith Studios via an independently managed trust. Notably, Trilith Studios has credits in a host of Marvel films and popular game shows, such as 'Family Feud.'

In another interesting turn of events, Ellis Whitson of Axios noticed a 2023 job posting from Chick-fil-A that seems to validate these rumors. The fast-food chain was on the lookout for an Entertainment Producer to bolster their team. The job description provides tantalizing hints about the new venture, suggesting a platform possibly named 'PLAY' and shedding light on the sorts of shows we can expect.'We are striving to create original entertainment that doesn't solely revolve around Chick-fil-A products or brand,' the job description gleamed. It explains the role of the Entertainment Producer in producing Chick-fil-A's original scripted and unscripted shows "intended for Chick-fil-A's soon-to-be-launched PLAY entertainment app," which may include original animation, reality and game shows, and other live-action scripted or non-scripted programming.

As this fast-food chain appears ready to serve binge-worthy content alongside its savory fast-food fare, the question of availability remains. No confirmation is available if the offering will be available on Sundays, leaving eager fans in anticipation.
