As the anticipation for the Olympics mounts, Chipotle is set to fan the flames of excitement with the return of its famous gold foil wrapper, allowing customers nationwide to feel a part of the biggest sporting event on the planet.

Starting July 25, one day ahead of the Parisian showdown of the 2024 Summer Olympics, all Chipotle locations across the US will once again wrap their burritos in gold, a tribute to America's finest athletes. The French, too, will be able to join in on the fun, with Chipotle serving its gold foil wrapped burritos in its six eateries across Paris and another one in Lyon for the very first time.

The 2021 unveiling of the glittery gold wrapper, originally tailored for the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo, had customers in awe of its glitz and glamour. Evidently, it made such a sensation that Chipotle decided to bring it back for the Olympic season of 2024.

This year, Chipotle has taken their Olympic spirit a notch higher by partnering with Olympic athletes and introducing their favorite orders on the mobile app. Now, customers can feel like they're dining with Basketball player Anthony Edwards, soccer player Sophia Smith, tennis player Taylor Fritz, beach volleyball player Sara Hughes, and skateboarder Jagger Eaton by enjoying their preferred orders.

Chris Brandt, chief brand officer at Chipotle, said, "Every one of our Team Chipotle athletes has had a unique journey. By highlighting their stories and how Chipotle has been a key component of their training regimens, we hope to inspire and fuel the next generation of great American athletes."

According to the go-to orders of these athletes offered on the app, it seems that burritos and bowls are the favorites and pack the necessary flavor and nutrition for Olympic training. For instance, The Anthony Edwards Bowl comprises half chicken and steak, brown rice, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, and lettuce, while The Sara Hughes Burrito, a protein-rich mix of double steak, white rice, black beans, cheese, and lettuce, screams power meal.

Importantly, to get your hands on these golden-burritos, customers need not make any special requests or additions. All burritos will be automatically donned in the glamourous golden wrappers, as long as supplies last.

Besides Chipotle, other American food brands are also making waves in the Olympic spirit. Reese's has introduced a new Olympic-inspired peanut butter cup, a medal-shaped sweet treat, for the summer games. Furthermore, Cracker Jack's annual initiative, Cracker Jill campaign, partner with Olympians and Olympic hopefuls supporting and promoting girls and women in sports, and wheelchair basketball star Lindsey Zurbrugg has the honor of being the first female athlete to feature on a Cracker Jacks bag.
