Burger King and Hidden Valley Introduce 'Big Dip' Ranch Condiment
- Oct 18, 2024
Burger King, in collaboration with Hidden Valley, is turning things up a notch by supersizing their ranch dip cups. While Burger King provides a typical 1-ounce Hidden Valley Ranch dip cup with their Fiery Menu offerings, the company has opted for a bigger take on indulgence this time around. Customers can now dive into a voluminous 8-ounce cup of Hidden Valley Ranch to accompany their fiery chicken fries, or indeed, anything on the menu. This jumbo-sized condiment cup is to be known as the 'Big Dip.' Yet, this indulgence won't be around forever, it will only be available until supplies run out.
The mini 1-ounce sauce packets so far have proven perfect for dipping fries and an array of other snacks. As of October 16, the new and upgraded condiment cup, eight times the size of its predecessor, is set to offer diners the option of lavishly dunking their entire sandwich, whether they're devouring a Whopper or a Royal Crispy Chicken.
However, the Big Dip won’t be available at every Burger King. Only the outlets in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Dallas, Houston, and San Francisco are set to stock the mammoth ranch cups. A handy tracker is available to help identify which restaurants will be providing these hefty dips. At the aforementioned locations, customers can ask for a Big Dip, free of charge with any sandwich purchase.
"We know our Guests love dipping everything in ranch - even their sandwiches - so we’re excited to deliver a Hidden Valley Ranch dip cup big enough for all of their dipping and dunking needs,” exclaims Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer of Burger King North America.
For those enthusiasts not located in the collaboration cities, Burger King still has a solution. From the 16th to 18th of October, the Big Dip will be available to order from www.hiddenvalley.com for a mere $1, with deliveries available nationwide. Although supplies may dwindle, fresh stock will be replenished each day at 11 am.
This is a savvy move from Burger King, considering the aging popularity of ranch. The condiment has evolved far beyond typical salad dressings; it's a common pair with pizza, chicken sandwiches, wings, and cheese curds. While Burger King could indeed create its own version, why would they when they know patrons crave the well-loved brands, such as Heinz ketchup or Hidden Valley Ranch?
Hidden Valley's reach also extends far beyond this promotion, with flourishing partnerships over the past year and a half. Collaborations have included Hidden Valley Ranch x Van Leeuwen ice cream, Hidden Valley Ranch Cheez-It crackers, HelloFresh x HVR ranch flights, Hidden Valley Ranch seasoned popcorn at AMC Theatres, and even lip balm in four "Ranch Dippers" flavors in partnership with Burt’s Bees.
Do you worry about ranch overload with all these products? Maybe, but for those who love the creamy combination of buttermilk, mayo, and a mix of herbs and spices, it's an eater's paradise. Those who grew up outside the Midwest might not initially understand this enduring appeal, but once they've tried it, they're bound to get a taste for this popular condiment.
