McDonald's fans have something exciting to add to their dessert dream list. On July 8, the world-renowned fast food brand declared the debut of a brand new McFlurry flavor for their dessert aficionados - the Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry. Made with the company's hallmark, delightfully creamy vanilla soft serve, the new creation is a treat to behold. It combines real banana undertones with chocolatey chunks of Kit Kat wafer bars and strawberry clusters in each bite.

This mouth-watering allure, as reported by the McDonald's Menu Spotter, will be ready for purchase on July 10. However, dessert seekers should act fast, as this heavenly portion will only be available while supplies last, and exclusively at select restaurants across the United States.

McDonald's renowned history of producing show-stopping flavour combinations is not a new development. They had previously introduced the Grandma McFlurry in May, pledging a taste as sweet as your beloved grandma. This heartfelt tribute integrated chopped candy pieces designed to remind you of the assorted sweet collection you might find in your grandmother's handbag. The year 2023 saw the launch of the Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry, a perfect blend of crispy shortbread cookies and strawberry-flavored clusters in vanilla soft serve. Keeping the momentum, moments later, it introduced the Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry, composed of a crispy cereal mix, vanilla soft serve, and chocolate peanut butter cookie pieces. Other creative departures included the 2020 re-imagined Shamrock Shake for its 50th-anniversary edition, which infamously incorporated blended Oreo sections for an unexpected twist.

The only constraint customers may face while seeking their McFlurry indulgence might be the unanticipated surprise of finding their neighbourhood McFlurry machine out of order. Disappointingly, this occurs more frequently than fans may appreciate. As reported by Food & Wine in April, the complex reason for this is that all soft-serve appliances used by McDonald's are produced exclusively by Taylor, which also holds the copyright for each machine. Consequently, they are the sole company authorized to fix them, which often leads to prolonged waiting for the franchise owners and substantial annoyance for the customers. If you wish to prevent any unforeseen McHeartache, it is always possible to check the soft-serve ice-cream machine status on McBroken, a website dedicated to tracking all functioning and non-functioning machines at every McDonald's location. This way, customers can relish their sweet treats without the bitter taste of disappointment.
