In the heart of Los Angeles, the highly-praised, yet pricey, grocery outlet Erewhon is known as a hotspot for quality eats and celeb sightings. Known especially for its indulgent and tantalizing smoothies, the brand has proven time and time again that their original creations are worth every penny. Taking Hailey Bieber's Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie and Kendall Jenner's Peaches and Cream Smoothie as examples, fans have come to anticipate Erewhon's eccentric smoothie collaborations. Yet, the latest addition to this lineup has intrigued consumers further - a smoothie that exudes the aroma of… sunscreen.

In early June, Erewhon unveiled the "Sunscreen" Smoothie, a whimsical collaboration with vacation sunscreen brand, Vacation. Drawing inspiration from Vacation's Classic SPF 30 Lotion, this summer-themed smoothie delivers a tropical twist that sends sippers down memory lane.

The company describes the Vacation "Sunscreen" Smoothie as "a nostalgic summer smoothie, combining five organic coconut components to conjure a creamy tropical dream." Infused with a trace of sea salt and blue spirulina, every gulp promises a beachy escape.

Like other smoothies by Erewhon, the "Sunscreen" Smoothie comes in a 12-ounce cup, retailing at $9, a thrilling bargain, considering the prices of other celebrity collaboration smoothies. Until the 14th of June, Erewhon members can savor this innovative blend free of charge.

"We are proud of the unwavering commitment and skill that went into the creation of this sunscreen-like delicacy," the company effusively shared on Instagram. With each variety of coconut incorporated, including coconut water, milk, soft-serve, meat, and whipped cream, the end result is a mouthwatering tropical concoction that is equatable to a sip of paradise.

Despite its sunscreen-scented charm, Vacation was sure to clarify in a press briefing that this smoothie does not offer actual sun protection. "Though the smoothie is reminiscent of Vacation's 'World's Best-Smelling Sunscreen' scent, it does not provide sun protection," the press release stated. They urged customers to grab a Vacation Brand 'Leisure-Enhancing' sunscreen from the Erewhon's suncare aisle, costing an additional $16, for actual sun cover.
