When it's time to put our fresh strawberries to use, we usually resort to making jams, sauces, or cakes. But have you considered diversifying your use of this tangy summer fruit? Think about using strawberries to infuse liqueurs, craft syrups, and mix up delightful summer cocktails.

Start by cleaning and storing a fresh set of strawberries. Then, grab your blender to craft our recipe for an enticingly Boozy Frozen Strawberry Lemonade, or for a sweet finish, blend up a lusccriptious, coconut-laced Miami Vice.

Strawberries are a delight in non-alcoholic cocktails too. Shrubs, a tart and tangy summer beverage, often features a variety of seasonal fruits and herbs. Mix plump strawberries together with dried chiles de árbol for a balanced flavor. Adding caramelized balsamic vinegar to this mix will introduce a tangy finish.

Brazil’s national drink, the revitalizing Caipirinha, is a crowd-pleaser at backyard barbecues and pool parties. A twist on this traditional cocktail uses aromatic Meyer lemons and fresh strawberries. The combination of white and dark rum, ground ginger, and ginger beer makes this a high-impact concoction. Add in a squeeze of fresh lime juice to perfectly round up the flavors.

Fancy a summery, frozen cocktail? Claudia Fleming, the former pastry chef from Union Square Hospitality Group, introduced a delectable frozen lemonade. Apart from the pink hue from strawberries, this cocktail doubles as a treat for lemon fans too.

To whip up a frozen fruity delight, take a leaf from Chuck A. Rivera Rodriguez's book. The bartender from JungleBird, a cocktail haven in San Juan, Puerto Rico, uses a syrup crafted by combining lime peels and strawberries with granulated sugar. This amazing drink is an easy crowd-pleaser without any need for a blender.

Ever thought of infusing Aperol with ripe strawberries? Consider what we call, "Retropolitan," a creative twist on a classic Cosmopolitan. This grown-up fruit punch recipe involves soaking fruit in Aperol overnight, which can then be stored for up to two weeks in an airtight, refrigerated container.

For a taste of vacation in a glass, make the Miami Vice, using strawberries preserved in orange bitters. This drink pairs perfectly with creamy Coco Lopez and white rum.

And finally, if you adore wine-based cocktails, then Frosé will steal your heart. Made with fresh strawberries and the clear spirit of your choice - either botanical gin for a complex, floral cocktail, or vodka for a simpler alternative, it’s your choice. Dive into these fruity recipes and let strawberries bring a bright, tangy twist to your summer cocktails.
