Little Caesars and Pepsi are giving their customers an exciting surprise by reintroducing a well-loved beverage - the Pepsi Pineapple. In an exclusive deal, the unique pineapple-flavored Pepsi will only be sold at Little Caesars in special 20-ounce bottles. But there's more to this: Little Caesars will also debut its Crazy Puffs. This novel offering is essentially delectable small handheld pizza puffs filled with pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese, garnished with an aromatic garlic drizzle.

"Last year, when we first introduced Pepsi Pineapple at our restaurants, the response confirmed our belief that our customers love trying exclusive flavors they can't find anywhere else," Greg Hamilton, the CMO of Little Caarsars, remarked. "To celebrate Pepsi Pineapple's grand comeback, we decided to pair it with our new offering - Crazy Puffs - for an unbeatable combination of taste and value."

Customers can enjoy this duo, a bottle of Pepsi Pineapple and an order of Crazy Puffs, for just $4.99. However, this fantastic deal is available for a limited duration only and subject to stock availability.

"The debate may still rage on about pineapple as a pizza topping, but when it comes to Pepsi Pineapple, pizza lovers have spoken - and they love it," added Scott Finlow, CMO of PepsiCoGlobal Foodservice. "We are ecstatic to be reintroducing Pepsi Pineapple at Little Caesars and providing consumers with the bold flavors they love, enhancing each pizza slice with Pepsi refreshment."

While some folks may still be skeptical about pineapple as a pizza topping, a survey of 2,000 people by Donatos, an Ohio-based pizza chain, in 2022 revealed that pineapple doesn't hold the unpopular last spot - that unwanted title goes to anchovies. Pineapple ranked second-to-last, closely followed by jalapeno peppers.

Pizza shop owner and chef at Down North, Kurt Evans, offers a pro-tip: the secret may lie in the manner in which the pineapple is prepped. "Most times, pineapples are applied onto pizzas in their raw state, which leads to water being exuded in the high oven heat and subsequently drying up." Instead, Evans prefers to caramelize the pineapples with a hint of sugar before placing them onto the pizza. This changes the texture of the pineapple before it even makes its way into the oven. So, while the debate over pineapple as a pizza topping remains, this novel take on how to use pineapple in a pizza may be worth a try, or you can stick to enjoying your pineapple in the form of Pepsi Pineapple.
