With the arrival of the summer and the joy of the July 4th holiday in full tide, s’mores season is officially underway. Supermarkets and bulk goods stores are loading up their aisles with boxes full of crunchy graham crackers and fluffy marshmallows, reminding everyone that the backyard barbecue time is here. However, if marshmallow roasting isn't your strength or playing with fire isn't your thing, a surprisingly innovative alternative awaits you. Nissin Foods USA, without jest, introduces a Campfire S’mores flavor in its renowned Cup Noodles range.

This limited and unique edition is a mix of the hearty notes of melted chocolate, the gooey marshmallows' sweetness, all topped with the crucial crunch of graham crackers, interestingly mingling with Cup Noodles instant ramen. This extraordinary flavor medley guarantees an unexpected epicurean catharsis with just three minutes in the microwave and an additional two minutes of patience. The brand is even encouraging adventurous customers to add crushed graham crackers or a handful of mini marshmallows after cooking.

Priscila Stanton, the senior vice president of marketing at Nissin Foods USA, said, “The cherished s’more, which has existed for nearly a century now, has been creatively incorporated into a multitude of food flavors and recipes, and now, uniquely into ramen.” She continued, “In the quest for novel ways to enjoy s’mores beyond outdoor camping, we took it upon ourselves to bring this quintessential flavor to the table, offering a vivid, unanticipated experience designed to bewitch the taste buds of consumers nationwide.”

The innovative Campfire S'mores instant ramen is currently available exclusively in Walmart stores and online on Walmart.com, at an affordable suggested retail price of $1.18 per unit.

It's not the first-time Nissin has ventured into unconventional flavor territory. The company previously surprised its customer base with an Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese instant ramen, another Walmart exclusive product. Breakfast Ramen, featuring the flavors of pancakes, maple syrup, sausage, and eggs, and a Pumpkin Spice variant have also delighted and baffled fans in equal measure.

Reactions on social media channels like Instagram vary, with some bemused and others intrigued. While one user jokingly wrote, “I just double-checked if it was April 1,” another cynic stated, “I’m all for the memes, but y’all are doing too much now,” and a third suggested the possibility of "Cookies and Cream ramen."

Despite varying reactions, one thing’s certain: Nissin never ceases to surprise.
