If you're a fan of all things tangy and flavorful, you're in for a treat. We've crafted a dip that's perfect for the pickle enthusiasts out there. Featuring a harmonious blend of pickles, pickle brine, sour cream, and buttermilk powder from the ranch dressing mix, this fried pickle dip is a mouthwatering delight. To give it a nod to actual fried pickles, we've incorporated toasted panko, a kind of bread crumb which is mixed into the dip and sprinkled on top, replicating the delicious crunch of the real deal.

This dip is full of gusto and chunky thanks to the ample use of chopped pickles. When it’s snack time, ensure you serve it up with durable dippers. Some great options include sturdy chips, crackers, or even thick-cut raw veggies such as carrots and cucumbers.

Fried pickles are often paired with a ranch-based dip or dressing which is why we merge ranch flavors into our dip. However, if an overly tangy flavor isn't your preference, substitute the pickle brine in the recipe with water. For an extra crunchy bite, go for fresh dill pickles; you would usually find these chilling in the refrigerated section of your grocery store, rather than in the jarred pickle aisle.

Once prepared, you can store your flavorful fried pickle dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. You can also prepare your panko a day ahead, simply let it cool down completely before storing it at room temperature. To maintain its crunch, sprinkle the toasted panko on top of the dip just before you serve it.

Here's a handy ingredient list for you:

• 1 tablespoon salted butter • 3/4 cup panko • 1 (16-ounce) container sour cream • 1 (1-ounce) envelope ranch dressing mix • 1 1/2 cups chopped fresh dill pickles, • 1 tablespoon pickle brine • Fresh dill pickle chips, fresh dill, and freshly cracked black pepper • Wavy potato chips, for serving

How to make it: Begin by melting the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Once it's all melted, add panko and stir continuously until it's lightly toasted. Remove it from the heat and let it cool down until it turns golden brown. In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream, ranch mix, chopped pickles, and pickle brine thoroughly. Then, take half of the toasted panko and mix it into the bowl. Complete the dish by adding pickle chips, dill, black pepper, and the remaining toasted panko. Grab your favorite chips and dive in!
